Cartridge tidbit: 35 Re*****on, This cartridge was introduced in 1906loaded with 158 to 220 grain bullets this 35 caliber bullet was known as a “brush buster” It is an excellent short range round for deer and hogs. With velocities from 1300 to 2350 it is not in the performance round category yet has remained popular for over 100 years. Mostly chambered in marlin lever guns I am lucky to have one in a Re*****on 760 pump rifle.

Cartridge tidbit. Today’s tidbit is on the 25.06 Re*****on. The smaller cousin to the .270 Wi******er and the 30.06 Springfield. This 25 caliber round has the capability of producing blazing speeds of over 3600 FPS. It can shoot from a 75 grain to a 120 grain bullet making the higher grain loads very comparable to the .270 Wi******er.
It is a very flat shooting round that has the capability of reaching out to several hundred yards successfully on medium sized game. With a light recoil it is a round that most people can shoot very comfortably.

Cartridge tidbit, 260 Re*****on.
First introduced in 1997. Shoots the .264 bullet or more famous as of late the 6.5mm bullet. It is another one of the necked down .308 cartridges that are famous in short action rifles. It can be loaded in bullet weights from 85 grain to 160 grain with speeds from 3400 feet per second down to 2200 feet per second for some of the heavier bullets. making this excellent ballistic coefficient bullet great for deer sized game. Here you see it next to a 45/70 and a 30.06 for comparison .

Cartridge tidbit. .222 Re*****on, introduced in 1958 it has been hailed as on of the most accurate rounds produced. With bullet weights of 40 to 55 grains and velocities up to 3850 feet per second it is a great varmint and coyote round. Pictured in the center it is a bit smaller than its brother the 223 Re*****on but shoots the same bullets.
