Last night was orientation night for our three new part-time firefighters. With their new-employee paperwork completed and gear issued, they will have up to 6 months to complete their recruit firefighter training and taskbooks.

Bravo Company has been busy the last 2 weeks. Last week Tuesday night, Bravo refreshed on vehicle extrication and stabilization. This evening Bravo got back to the basics on hoseline advancement with our acquired structure. Opportunities like the last 2 weeks to get hands on training is beneficial for members.

Want to make a difference in the community and gain experience along the way? Howard Fire Rescue is currently taking applications for Paid-On-Call Firefighters to fill open positions.
Howard Fire relies on the Paid-On-Call staff to supplement paid-on-premise shifts, vacation coverage, plus major incidents that require more personnel and equipment. Howard FIre Rescue is part of MABAS Div 112, as well as the Packerland Fire District. Howard Fire Rescue also gives members qualified in EMS the opportunity to gain experience with patient care by being a part of the EMS Crew.
