A: Most CPR certifications are valid for 2 years before renewal is needed

A: No. AEDs analyze the heart rhythm and only deliver a shock if one is needed.
Q: Is CPR only for adults?
A: No! CPR techniques can be used for infants, children, and adults.
Q: How hard do I push during CPR?
A: Push hard and fast in the center of the chest—about 2 inches deep for most adults.
Q: Am I too old to learn CPR?
A: Never! Anyone can learn CPR and potentially save a life.
Q: What if the person wakes up while I'm doing CPR?
A: That's a good sign! Stop CPR if they become responsive and breathing normally, then monitor them until help arrives.
