Living paycheck to paycheck isn’t a budgeting problem.
I’ve budgeted.
I’ve cut back.
I’ve skipped the extras.
And it still wasn’t enough.
When your income barely covers the basics, no amount of “just try harder” advice fixes that.
This isn’t about being irresponsible.
It’s about not having enough breathing room.
If you’ve been told to “just budget better,” you know exactly what I mean.

I just wanted to stop panicking at the grocery store.
I wanted to stop doing mental math while standing in line.
Stop putting things back.
Stop pretending everything was fine when it wasn’t.
