What happens if the wire is too small for the breaker?
Simple: the wire can overheat before the breaker protects the circuit the way you expect. That can lead to damaged insulation, nuisance trips, equipment problems, and serious safety risks.
A bigger breaker does not fix a small wire.
Make sure the wire size matches the breaker and the job.

THHN and XHHW-2 can look like the same kind of wire, but they are not built for the exact same job.
THHN is a common choice for building wire and conduit runs. XHHW-2 comes with thicker insulation and is often the better call for tougher wet or dry location conditions.
Pick the wrong one, and the job gets harder fast.
Nassau gives you the product details you need so you can order smarter.

How deep does electrical wire need to be buried?
The real answer: it depends.
Direct burial cable, conduit type, voltage, location, and local code all matter. A lot of direct burial cable is commonly around 24 inches deep, while PVC conduit is often around 18 inches, but this is not something you should guess.
Check the code. Check the cable rating. Check the job.
Underground work is not the place for shortcuts.

For electricians, contractors, estimators, and buyers, that can mean fewer mistakes, less wasted time, and a smoother job.
