New bathrooms are under construction at Shade, thanks to the hard work and generosity of our Love in Action Challenge participants and donors!

This International Albinism Awareness Day, the Shade team presented to Jambo Media, sharing information and advocating for the albinism community with producers, hosts, and digital creators.

We're grateful for Jambo Media's partnership in helping us amplify the message that people with albinism deserve acceptance, love, and respect.

Today, we're celebrating International Albinism Awareness Day!

This year's theme, "Proudly In My Skin: Celebrating All Skin Tones," is an invitation to us all to celebrate the unique and beautiful ways we were created. It's an affirmation that those with albinism are not curses, myths, or oddities. They are people created with intention and purpose, worthy of love and respect.

Everyone deserves to feel seen and celebrated, and that change can start with us.

Our students with albinism are all of these things, and so much more.

We're halfway through the school year, and God is doing incredible things on the Shade campus through our students and staff. Take a look!

Please join us in prayer for one of our students, Emmanuel.

He's undergone multiple corrective surgeries on his legs, and his next surgery is scheduled to take place tomorrow.

Please pray for wisdom for his medical team, peace for Emmanuel and his family, and swift healing over his body.

Our 2026 Jack Grubbs Love in Action Memorial Challenge has officially wrapped up, and we couldn't be more thankful for our Shade community!

We set out to raise $40,000 to cover the cost of construction for new bathrooms on the Shade campus, and our LIAC participants and donors knocked that number out of the park.

Shade students finished up their midterm exams and now get to enjoy a month-long break! We're so proud of their hard work and commitment to their education.

Pray with us for our students and teachers to be refreshed and strengthened during their break.

Our 2026 Jack Grubbs Memorial Love in Action Challenge wraps up in just 3 days!

If we can raise $2,188more this weekend, we'll hit our goal of fundraising $20,000 to be matched by Girvan and Janet! This means our $40,000 construction cost for new bathrooms on the Shade campus will be totally covered.
