myNeighborsNetwork.com
Collecting data is the first step towards wisdom; sharing data is the first step towards community.
We are on line community network serving Fairfax, Loudoun and Montgomery counties in the Washington DC Metro area. Our members provide positive referrals for outstanding service providers and we send out local announcements regarding community events, fire and police safety issues, and anything else the members want to know!
In January of this year (2019), i was hospitalized for what we now know was Guillain Barre Syndrome. Because it was not diagnosed or treated, it morphed into Chronic Inflammatory Demylineating Polyneuropathy (CIDP). I was paralyzed from the C7 down, no use of my arms or legs.
I spent January thru September in a horrid nursing home (Dulles Rehab in Herndon), in various hospitals, and a final six weeks in the best rehab unit ever: Reston Rehabilitation Unit attached to Reston Hospital.
We had to sell our Great Falls home and when I was discharged from Reston Rehab, I moved into our home in Maggie, VA with Jeff and our four dogs where we are now.
This is the long way of saying I have been very sick and unable to work.
Thus, I have had to close MyNeighborsNetwork.
I’m very sorry I have had to close it. This network was my heart and soul for nineteen years. I don’t regret a single moment. Thank you for being a part of my life. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

I have been suffering from Lyme Disease for five years and thought I had read all of the books on Lyme Disease! I am delighted that I checked out Lyme Savvy. It is easy to read - a big plus for anyone with cognitive problems due to the Lyme Disease. It is the guide that I would have written for others after going into remission. The book covers all of the important aspects that a Lyme patient needs to know. Honestly, I plan to buy several copies for my family members and physicians that do not "get it." - Marissa C.
