FIVCO ADD serves Kentucky’s Boyd, Carter, Elliott, Greenup and Lawrence counties

Kentucky's counties are grouped into 15 regions known as Area Development Districts, or ADD's. Although they are public bodies under Kentucky law, the ADD's are not State agencies nor are they another level of government. Instead, the ADD's should be thought of as partnerships of local units of government. Locally-elected officials and citizen members comprise the ADD boards of directors. The ADD

We are very pleased to announce that, through our partner and fiscal sponsor, Northeast Kentucky Community Action Agency, we have been awarded a Healthy Communities Initiative grant from the Pallottine Foundation of Huntington. This funding will allow FIVCO ADD to purchase meals and restore weekend home-delivered meals for seniors in winter months.

The FIVCO Area Development District was awarded a KY Opioid Abatement Grant to create a Recovery Community Center in Boyd County along with a number of great partner agencies.

We are now accepting applications for two positions for the Boyd County Recovery Community Center: Executive Director and Peer Support Specialist.

Please note that these positions are NOT FIVCO Area Development District positions. While they are full time positions, the Boyd County Recovery Community Center is currently only funded for the two-year grant cycle.
