East Carter Youth Service Center would like to take this time to thank Oak Grove Church of Christ, Smithfield, KDMC, Willard Church of Christ, Willard Baptist Church, Denton Homemakers, and the many private donors that sponsored a student(s) for Christmas. Whether you donated money, or personally shopped for a teen, you were able to help 114 East Carter Middle, East Carter High School, and Carter Virtual Learning students have an Amazing Christmas and you have blessed their parents immensely by taking that weight off their shoulders.

Representative Patrick Flannery was “NTI Principal of the Day” at ECHS 😂 He was able to participate in our Counselor PLC and check out things at East. We are so thankful for Rep Flannery and all he does for Carter County and Carter County Schools.

If your child struggles with quiet moments, it may be their brain adjusting after all that stimulation. Try adding small pauses into their day, creating tech-free pockets of time, and helping them ease into calmer activities. These little shifts can make settling their minds feel a lot more doable.
