Cast and Call was a great success yesterday! The first rune drawn was jera - the rune I chose to represent C&C. It rained the entire time, but that didnt dampen our galdr! It was a very good day .. and Im still jazzed. Was up at 5am this morning and still singing the runes!

So we started studying Davidson's _Myths and Symbols in Pagan Europe_. We skipped the Introduciton, so that Tim copied pages 13-27 (stopping at Section 5: The Enclosed Sanctuary).

What a great L&L! The first of the years. I truly love good conversation with Heathen folk .. I always learn sooo much! We started 'Myths and Symbols' .. it will be our Lore focus for the year. Great chatter, excellent food, endless bottles of mead.

I just tried to 'share' the Yule photos I uploaded to this page (Heimat Hof). Since I dont see them, it must not have worked. Will try again, but am also open to suggestions on how this is done.

A Bright and Glad Yule celebration was had by all. Pictures are coming! The menfolk cleaned up the lion's share of the aftermath, now for my womanly details.

Busy day. Baked two Cheese and Onion Pies, a large pan of Sourdough Cornbread, a savory party mix, and am now putting together the Crustard (a Medieval Pigeon Pie [made with chicken]). All for the Yule Faining tomorrow!

Thew is situational: circumstances can and do dictate how we, like our ancestors, deal with each individual event. Heathenry is a human endeavor, so prone to all the failings, fragilities, and frailties of man. Evenso, the Heathen trusts to the overarching thew .. that Great Thew of Hope.

Stag Lord at Hof's horgr, eight points, Tru. Standing in the rain, stillness b/t us, Bestla gave chase, I followed. He outpaced us both. it was a very good run, and a very good sign for tomorrow's Yule faining!
