Cross Country Open Conditioning begins on TUESDAY, June 9th from 8-10am and will continue every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the summer (with a few exceptions to be communicated at a later date).

A few reminders:

- Students MUST have uploaded all paperwork and be cleared in RankOne in order to participate

- Parents should drop students off at the car rider lane (behind the school) and plan to pick up at the same place

- Students should take the sidewalk towards the back of the gym (meet on the field)

A HUGE shoutout to our incredible 8th Grade Gold Team for reading their way to the top in the GCPS Beanstack Reading App!

With an amazing 34,819 minutes logged, this team truly showed what dedication, teamwork, and a love of reading can do! 📖💪

To celebrate their success, students were treated to some well-deserved goodies—Smarties candy, smart popcorn, and cupcakes 🍬🍿🧁—because smart readers deserve smart rewards!

We are so proud of your hard work and commitment. Keep turning those pages and leveling up your reading game—this is just the beginning! 🚀📚

Filling this out prior to the 2026-2027 school year will help us begin your students' scheduling process and ensure that they are placed correctly on their first day of middle school!

Please note this updated information regarding cheer tryouts, which will begin on Monday, August 10th!

We are excited to invite Couch Middle School families to participate in our Find Your Reading Joy: Rams Read Summer Reading Program. This initiative encourages students to continue building strong reading habits throughout the summer.

From June 1 through July 31, 2026, students can log their reading to earn digital badges and recognition. Those who complete the challenge will be invited to a Reading Celebration at the start of the new school year, receive a prize, and be entered into a grand prize drawing.

We encourage families to support their students in participating. Please see the attached flyer for additional details and view the included informational video for guidance on how to get started.

Book Mobiles run from Friday, May 29 to Friday, July 17, 2026.

Quest Van runs from Tuesday, June 2 to Thursday, July 16, 2026.

Meals will be provided at the first four Book Mobile stops only, for three weeks: June 8 - June 26..

Daily snacks will be available all summer, generously provided by Backpack Buddies of Metro Atlanta for both the Book Mobiles and Quest Van.
