Prichard Elementary

It’s yard sale season and I know that means Prichard will be booming! So I wanted to put out some general Yard Sale Rules & Reminders while on our school grounds. During the summer, we still have a lot of work to complete around the property with folks coming in and out conducting summer business. I don’t want to turn into the yard sale police, so with these general reminders all will be fine.

Dear Yard Sale hosts and Community Members,

Please keep the following rules and reminders in mind:

Be respectful and courteous to everyone including delivery drivers, fellow vendors, school staff, parents and volunteers.

Keep your display neat and contained within your assigned space. Please pick up after yourself and respect school property. Do not attach signs, tents, or other items to school buildings, fences, or equipment without permission.

Set up only in parking spots and avoid blocking walkways, entrances, or traffic lanes.

Keep noise levels reasonable and be considerate of others around you.

Just simply leave your space in the same condition—or better—than you found it. We take pride in our school grounds and ask everyone to help keep them clean and welcoming.

We would like to introduce our newest teacher addition, Congratulations to our Pre-K teacher, Sarah Nelson Serhal!

Hi, everyone! My name is Sarah Serhal and I am incredibly excited and grateful for this opportunity! I moved to Carter County a few years ago and have been continually amazed by the support and strong sense of community shown by the Prichard staff and families.

I graduated from Fairview High School and earned my Bachelor’s degree from Morehead State University. Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of the Cumberlands. In my free time, I love reading, writing, and spending time with my friends and family.

I have been passionate about preschool education and teaching young learners for many years, and I cannot wait to begin this journey in the fall! Here’s to a fantastic year! 💛

We are excited to announce that Carter County Preschool and Northeast Head Start will host joint Registration for the 2026 - 2027 school year on June 1st and June 2nd.

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Members of the Prichard Elementary School Community,

Today, we completed the final day of the 25-26 school year. I want to extend my gratitude to our students, families, teachers, staff, and community partners for making this year a successful and memorable one.

Together, we celebrated academic achievements, personal growth, and countless moments of learning and discovery. Our students have worked hard, demonstrated resilience, and continued to inspire us with their curiosity, creativity, and determination.

To our parents and guardians, thank you for your partnership, encouragement, and support throughout the year. Your involvement plays a vital role in the success of our students and our school community.

As summer begins, I encourage everyone to take time to relax, enjoy family and friends, explore new experiences, and continue learning in fun and meaningful ways. Reading, visiting local libraries, and engaging in educational activities can help students stay connected to learning while enjoying their well-deserved break.

On behalf of the entire Prichard Elementary staff, I wish you a safe, healthy, and enjoyable summer. We look forward to welcoming our students back in the fall for another exciting year of learning and success.

Just want to say thank you to our amazing Prichard staff, parents, and school community.

At the very last minute, we had to temporarily block off our main pickup exit while EMS arrived on scene. Nobody had time for anything besides springing into action..

Thanks to everyone’s patience, flexibility, and cooperation, everything went very smoothly. We truly appreciate your support and understanding!
