Our yearlings are starting their journey toward becoming well mannered citizens. Evelyn Pontoriero got them started, and now our student/helper, Avery, is getting valuable experience learning to work with young horses.

Summer Riding Lessons at Aspen Star Ranch

There’s still time to get signed up for June group riding lessons!

Evening classes are offered Monday–Thursday at 5:30 PM, with limited morning and afternoon lesson options available based on signup.

With more than 40 years of experience teaching riding lessons and horsemanship, we are proud to offer a welcoming program for riders of all experience levels — from beginners learning the basics to experienced riders interested in training and showing.

Lessons are sold in blocks of 8 for $300.

Xyla stepped up in a big way and got us a win. Xerxes was well behaved and trying his best — just still learning how to channel all his energy and excitement.

A weekend with its ups and downs, but a good start for both. We’re excited with how these horses kicked off their show careers and can’t wait to see how they continue to improve.

“ASR Rockin Robin” - 2019 solid APHA gelding - 15.2 hands

“Ingot” is a solid, versatile gelding with a strong foundation and good mind. He has been ridden extensively both in and out of the arena. He has real outside miles, including checking cattle, working the flag, and handling various terrain such as water crossings and rocky ground with confidence. Ingot handles time off well and comes back as the same horse, ready to go to work. He is athletic, willing, and adaptable, making him well-suited for a variety of programs.
