This is what happens when too much pressure builds up around an above-ground pool wall from dirt, rocks, or tight backfilling. Over time, the wall can start pushing inward and bending.

What we recommend:
• Remove the dirt and rocks putting pressure on the wall
• Open up some space around the damaged area so the wall can move naturally
• Check and re-level the supports if needed
• Use sand instead of heavy dirt or rocks around the pool
• Keep an eye on the wall while the pool is filling back up

Good drainage and giving the pool wall room to expand properly can help prevent bigger structural problems later on.
