Thank you all for the prayers and good vibes for Zay. He is stable and they have discharged us, he’s pretty sore and extremely tired but he’s ok! He has a MRI In two weeks and a follow up with his neurosurgeon. Pretty scary day but he is a strong kid and pulled through 💪🏽❤️🙏🏼

Zay goes back to school tomorrow 😊 was just gonna get his hair lined up but his barber (another class mate) was able to carefully fade his hair with his incision ❤️! His school mate has skills!! He’s ready to go 😁🙏🏼

Little update on Zay he’s doing AWESOME ❤️! I spent a hour detangling his hair today which was basically dreads at this point because his scalp has been too sensitive for him to brush it for the last 3 weeks 😅The stitches haven’t dissolved yet 100% so they are still there but his neurosurgeon did a excellent job on stitching up his incision. He’s a pretty boy lol so I was really worried about him having a large scar on his head but I think it’s going to be very faint 🙏🏼. The doctor hasn’t called me yet about the biopsy but I was able to see it on the app and then I sent it to my mom being she is a nurse and understands all those terms. Fingers crossed it’s low grade which usually means non cancerous and the majority of it is gone ❤️Apparently when there is a tumor in the brain they don’t use benign terminology because even if it’s not cancer and it’s a tumor in your brain that could press up against stuff it’s still very dangerous. So low grade is good 😊 His appt is 4/4 so we will find out more then 🙏🏼

It’s been exactly 1 week since surgery and Zay is still experiencing some pain but not near as bad as it was. He’s staying up now for a few hours at a time and his incision is healing nicely ❤️. Trying to get him to take a serious picture is pretty much impossible, he’s quite the comedian 🤣😂! The Dr hasn’t called yet with the results regarding the biopsy so we are taking no news as good news at the moment. Thank you all for the continued prayers 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Yesterday was Zay’s first full day home. He met all the requirements that they needed in order for him to leave. Once he was told what he needed to do he was on it lol 😅 he was ready to leave! The neurosurgeon said after surgery that he has only had two patients leave the day after a craniotomy Zay is now the third ❤️❤️. He has a lot of swelling and in a lot of pain still so he’s mostly sleeping and taking it easy! Praying for a fast recovery and healing 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
