Logo creation is such a personal thing. Whenever someone brings me in to that conversation I get so energized and excited to research and create with the brand.
The conversations about why people or brands do the work that they do is just my favorite of conversations. The inner workings of why feel like sparks of energy for me. It is the firewood I use to start the creative process.
This is one of the unused concepts from this year.

It’s been a while since I sketched for the sake of sketching. Sometimes I get an itch to do so but don’t know what to draw.
Podcasts are my friends for suuuure. And this I bring you “currently listening to.” and bring you a look into public schools and the power play happening inside.

Cleaning up my studio today (why do I have so many random envelopes??) and I found this lil piece from back when I had access to a laser cutter.
Tools are an incredible thing. New tools and material make me create differently. Anyone else? I can feel my brain turning over an idea when something new is introduced. I want to think of this season as a new tool (while also holding space for it being stressful, hard, a lot and ... all the things).
But to you dear friends, I say ‘cheers’ - to your Saturday, to new things, to sunshine, to being you. K, back to cleaning.

We all need a bit of a chuckle! This illustration was from A+T’s wedding where they had an actual Hotdog Battle Royale (the tasting and voting kind of battle). LOVE when you make a party your own! And love working with 😘

Working on some more line drawings for a logo this week and it’s reminding me of this cute ass tote design from last year for ‘s 10 year celebration!
We took a photo of the space as it was after 10 years of building community and fueling freelancers and entrepreneurs with coffee and created the line drawing from that! Printed by .co and championed by .almquistmurray ! @ Grand Rapids, Michigan

I have been VERY M.I.A lately mostly because of the lists of things going on. And then sometimes because Instagram feels overwhelming or like another thing on the list. 😬 I’m still making and trying to listen to what my body needs. Here we go 2020! And hello to the 80s and 90s toys represented here 🥳! They don’t all have insta gram accounts. @ Grand Rapids, Michigan
Did a little linocut workshop while on vacation and it was even more inspiring than all the ink rolling videos I watch on repeat on the gram! (Anyone rose watch those🙋♀️). I love playing. A new medium, a new approach, a new place or technique can be such a beautiful starting place. Thanks for making it happen.
