☀️ Summer @ Baxter – Request for Proposals! ☀️

Baxter Community Center is seeking qualified instructors, organizations, and community partners to provide 6 weeks of summer programming beginning June 22, 2026.

We're looking for engaging programs in areas such as:

🔬 STEAM
💃 Dance
🎨 Art
⚽ Sports & Fitness
🎭 And more!

If you have a program that can inspire, educate, and engage youth this summer, we'd love to hear from you.

Last week, Baxter Community Center was honored to be highlighted for our continued partnership with the American Heart Association - Michigan at their Grand Rapids Heart Ball.

Together, we are dedicated to continue increasing access of fresh produce, health education, and lifesaving intervention skills in our community.

We’ve been quiet this year as we turned our focus back to growing our roots in our neighborhood but it’s definitely that time again!

We just want to get outside and enjoy each others company and this Saturday is the perfect day to celebrate each other 🥳🎉

Another amazing plant sale is in the books! 💚

We can’t thank our incredible staff, interns, and volunteers enough for making this event such a huge success. From helping us sow seeds, to nurturing seedlings, transplanting, helping shoppers at the sale and more, we could not do it without you!

A huge thank you to everyone in our community who came out to shop the sale and support us as well! Every plant purchased helps us continue growing fresh, local food and expanding access to healthy produce in our community.

This year, we were able to provide more than 4,000 organic vegetable plants to our community while also planting in our own raised beds, which will help supply even more fresh produce to our Marketplace throughout the season.

Eta Nu Lambda was outside today! We proudly continued our commitment to service this weekend by volunteering at the Baxter Community Center Annual Plant Sale this morning and afternoon.

From promoting mental wellness to supporting community growth, literally, we remain committed to serving, uplifting, and investing in the communities around us. Thank you to Baxter Community Center for allowing us to lend a helping hand in making today a success. ✊🏾🪴

Taking place in Allegan, Kent, and Ottawa Counties. (The drive will take place May 16 in Holland).

Join us tonight for our FREE Friday Flow Yoga tonight from 6:30-7:30PM! All ages and abilities are welcome. Mats provided!
