Third Thursday is a great opportunity for members, donors, and volunteers who work during the day or have busy schedules to connect with us during extended evening hours.

The moment the SHOES Program is announced, it goes on the calendar. Her kids, James and Alicia, start counting the days.

For Natalie, the months are tight. But on the day she walks through the doors of DeVos Place and watches volunteers select shoes in her kids' sizes, something shifts. The pairs are free. The support is real. Anticipating the first day of school just got more fun, for all of them.

The event is free, open to all Kent County families with elementary-aged children, and the people waiting to welcome you are genuinely glad you came. All you'll need to do is register at the end of July through our website.

An important update for our members.

Starting July 1, we’re making a change to Brian’s Basic Needs Room — one we believe will better serve our community.

In the past, supplies have run out quickly, which meant some members weren’t always able to get what they needed. We heard your concerns.

Beginning July 1, members may request hygiene supplies once every 30 days during a Free Store shopping appointment. Our hope is that this change will help us keep the room better stocked so more essential items are available for more people when they visit.

You matter to us, and we are always working to serve you with dignity, care, and respect.💚
