Sweeties, I have some unfortunate news. For the first time ever, I have to cancel an appearance. I am extremely sick, and will not be able to attend Grand Rapids Comic Con this weekend.

The decision to cancel was not made easily. But the safest, most responsible choice, was to protect others from getting sick, and heal myself.

I am absolutely DEVASTATED about this, because I will miss seeing my local Sweeties, my cosplay besties, and showing off my new costumes. However I know it was the right decision to make.

I don't want to miss seeing all your amazing cosplays this weekend, so please comment with pics! Even if you aren't attending, show me what you're working on!!

Stay safe out there, Sweeties...this bug has had me down and out and I don't wish it on ANYONE!!

I made a quick vid of my progress photos and videos of my Ghost concert costume!!!

Sometimes I make costumes for other events....like concerts!! I recently attended my 8th ritual and made a suuuuper sparkly outfit inspired by the Ghoulettes' new look! I already had the dress from but had not yet worn it. I decided to lean in hard to the bat theme of this album's imagery, and also added spiderwebs.

I hand bejeweled everything...the bodice, bones, ears, cape...countless hours of jeweling!! And the photos don't capture most of the details or sparkle. I took progress photos and videos that I will put together in a video soon.

The cape was removable. I bejeweled purple hearts on the end of every point of the handkerchief hem, and along the back of the cape. The bones were made of craft foam, and bejeweled. I built the ears directly in the wig, so they stayed in place while I jumped around and screamed my heart out. Bat wings on my boots, spiderweb fishnets, bone jewelry on my hands...lots and lots of little details!

I wanted to simulate the silver masks the Ghouls and Ghoulettes wear without having to wear a full mask, so I wore the metal face jewelry. I loved that the nose piece was very bat-like!

All in all, it was an incredible show and I had an absolutely amazing time singing at the top of my lungs to the bottom of my soul 🖤

Sweeties I had such an amazing time at Kalamazoo Comic Con with Bebe Alkaid Cosplay this weekend!! I can't wait to share photos and tell you all about it but first I need to sleep for a week or three...I'm exhausted 😴

Until then, THANK YOU!!! Every single person I talked to was incredibly kind and thoughtful, and this weekend reminded me of why I love cosplay so much 💖
