In all seriousness this is true. Don’t be afraid to pick up the probe. If you have time (crazy right?) practice on your spay and neuter patients.

You have to learn normal anatomy before you can start recognizing subtle abnormal findings.

We have had the pleasure of working with recently on getting a Piloter ultrasound unit for their non-profit veterinary clinic.

Options Veterinary Care serves the northern Nevada area as a non-profit clinic providing affordable services to keep pets together with their families.

They rely on donations from the community to help serve these animals and families in need. They recently ran an ultrasound fundraiser to obtain enough finances to purchase a new ultrasound unit. The community quickly pulled through in order to do just that!

We are happy to say they now have their new ultrasound unit and are putting it to use! Please go and support them! They are doing amazing things in the veterinary community! πŸ’•πŸΎπŸˆ
