Midas Homestead
Chickens, ducks, quail. Breeding toward SOP. PT tested flock. APA and ACBA member.
If anyone is interested in Welsh Harlequin or Blue Magpie drakes from exhibition lines I have a few available.
They are not free or cheap.
Otherwise they will be going to camp Kenmore at the end of the month.
Just a reminder for everyone: I am not a business, I am a homestead. And all funding goes back into the animals. Absolutely no profits are made at all and I am constantly in the negative because this is what I want to do.
Homesteading is not about money or profits. If you got into this life thinking it would be, then you were mistaken! The majority of homesteaders still work outside of the home to fund their life choices. It’s about knowing where your food comes from and what is going into your animals. Be as sustainable as possible, but being isolated and sustainable is nearly impossible!
My goals are to breed toward SOPs and SOPs make the best animals for their purpose!
Just a friendly yearly reminder that this is not a business and is a one person operation.
Projects come along when I have the time for them and this is the time of year where I am stacked at work. I will not be hatching quail again for a couple of months at least.
I will let everyone know when hatching eggs are available as my quail lay them but jumbo celadons are still a ways out.
All I keep now and offer are jumbo roux pansy and a pansy assortment (mixed standard and jumbo with fee genetics).
Of course I still have my chickens and ducks. They are loving all the rainy weather, while I am not. 💁🏻♀️
Quail are laying again with the weather getting cooler ♥️ may have hatching eggs soon for Jumbo Roux Pansy.
Just an update for celadon coturnix quail. I no longer have standard celadons and my jumbo roux pansy celadon line is not ready yet. So I will not be offering celadon hatching eggs until it is. If they’d lay in this heat maybe it would be further along 😂😅🥲
I’m looking for dwarf nectarine trees for Necta Zee and Garden Delight. Anyone have any leads?

Hatching eggs available for pickup in Grand Prairie. Cash on pickup.
Weighing in at 11.45OZ at 8 weeks. 🤗
I feed Big V 28% gamebird kernels and when they start laying I switch to Big V 20% egg kernel complete.
Egg weights are between 16-17 grams.
I have no more celadon breeding sets available and will only have hatching eggs offered for them.
I may have extra jumbo roux pansy’s available randomly. Dm if interested.
