Meet our newest addition to the GRHS Crew: Marcus🐾

Hi, I’m Marcus! I just turned one, which means I’m officially a big boy now... although I still think I’m a tiny dinosaur. I’m the kind of kid who likes to carry his favorite dinosaur around, randomly stop what he’s doing to let out a big RAWR, and then go right back to whatever important puppy business I was handling. I’ve got plenty of energy, but thankfully I’m pretty easy to wear out. A good walk, some games, and a little time to run around, and suddenly my tiny T. rex battery is running low. That’s when you’ll find me ready for the most important part of the day: a nice nap.

Once I’ve gotten all that energy out, I’m a really affectionate boy who loves being around my people. I’m happy to play, explore, and get into some dinosaur-level mischief, but I also love settling down for cuddles when the day’s adventures are over. I do well with other dogs and would love a family who will give me plenty of ways to burn off my puppy energy. If you’re looking for a goofy adventure buddy who will make you laugh, carry his dinosaur everywhere, and then curl up for a nap beside you, I’m your guy!

🐾ADOPT MAVERICK🐾 1 year old male Coonhound mix

Hi, I’m Maverick! I’m a confident boy who loves my people, enjoys running around my yard, and is always ready to see what adventure might be waiting around the corner. I can be a little aloof with strangers, but don’t mistake that for being unfriendly—I’m just more interested in hanging out with the people I already know. Once you’re part of my crew, though, I’m incredibly sweet and absolutely adore attention. Treats are also an excellent way to get on my flight plan!

Like any good hound, I have a mind of my own, and occasionally my nose files a different flight plan than the one my humans had in mind. That’s why I’d love a fenced yard and a family who understands hounds and is willing to keep working with my stubborn streak. I may do well with other dogs and kids, though we don’t know about cats yet. More than anything, I want someone who will let me stretch my legs, take me on adventures, and appreciate that sometimes a hound has to follow his nose. If you’re ready for your own Maverick, just remember: I feel the need... the need for treats.

Beau is ADOPTABLE through Second Chance Humane in Ridgeway, Colorado ✨

Look at this absolutely beautiful floofball!

Beau is a gorgeous 5 year old male dog looking for his forever family! He is calm, affectionate and loyal.
Due to his breed and guardian tendencies, he would thrive best in a home with no children and chickens but he does great with other dogs, cats and livestock.
His goofy smile is just the cherry on top of his heartwarming demeanor 🥰

🐾ADOPT BLONDIE🐾 3 year old female Labrador mix

Hi, I’m Blondie. I may be a little shy when you first meet me, but once you get to know me, I’m very sweet. I like treats and would be happy to take treats from your hand once I’ve warmed up. I’m curious about new people, but I need them to take their time getting to know me and approach me slowly so I feel safe. I’m a quick learner, and I just learned to touch my nose to your palm! I love walking and will stay by your side on a loose leash.

I’m a medium-energy dog, so I’ll need someone who can give me the right combo of exercise and mental stimulation to help build my confidence. Give me patience, consistency, time to become more comfortable, and I think you’ll find I’m a wonderful companion with a heart of gold.
