Massachusetts is confronting a rising litter problem — and it’s going to take all of us to create a cleaner, more beautiful state. Our new awareness video is now playing in RMV waiting rooms statewide, including a Spanish-language version to ensure we reach even more residents. The message is simple: we all play a role in keeping Massachusetts beautiful. Please don’t litter! 🚯
And while you’re doing your part, don’t forget to spay or neuter your pets. 🐈 🐕

Hear ye, hear ye—the Joint Committee on Transportation is holding a hearing on November 4, starting at 1 pm, to discuss Senate Resolve 2390 (and many other bills).
Please help support Senate Resolve S 2390, which would establish a Roadside Litter Prevention & Cleanup Task Force. Please email the following message to [email protected]:
I am writing to urge you to support Senate Resolve 2390, which would establish a Roadside Litter Prevention & Cleanup Task Force.
From Cape Cod to Boston to the Berkshires, litter is visible along nearly every Massachusetts highway, sidewalk, public park and beach. The mess in Massachusetts sends the message that Massachusetts leaders do not prioritize our state’s appearance or environmental health.
In addition to being an eyesore, the Massachusetts litter problem costs the state and its taxpayers millions of dollars each year in cleanup costs. Meanwhile, the state of Massachusetts devotes no effort toward LITTER PREVENTION.
The time for Massachusetts state leaders to act on this issue is long past due. A cleaner, litter-free landscape benefits Massachusetts businesses, the economy, our residents, and our environment. Please provide the leadership we need to clean up the mess in Massachusetts and implement lasting solutions to our state’s litter problem.
I urge you to support the creation of a statewide Massachusetts Litter Prevention & Cleanup Task Force and vote in favor of Senate Resolve 2390.

💚 Clean out your medicine cabinet – safely dispose of expired or unused prescriptions.
🗑️ Drop them off at an official collection site such as a drug store or police station – keep drugs out of the wrong hands.
🚫 Prevent pollution – never flush medications; proper disposal keeps our water clean.
