Yesterday we had the privilege of hosting the Goshen Police Dept Honor Guard as the did their training at the First Baptist Church of Goshen. They practiced flag movement and flag folding, and folded several flags for a local funeral home to use for veteran funerals. Even got to help fold a flag!

This morning our chaplain team was blessed to be a part of the dedication of a new Safe Haven Baby Box, at Goshen Fire Department's Central Station. Any newborn can be anonymously placed in the fully climate controlled box, and GFD will be instantly notified and Paramedics will treat and transport the baby to the hospital. This box will save little lives!🥰

Our first ever Flames - Firefighter Spouse Academy was a wonderful success! Spouses from 9 area fire departments came together for fun, food, fellowship and encouraging sessions taught by our team of Chaplains. We had more than twice the number of spouses attend than we had hoped for, which was so encouraging, and the reviews they left us were very positive. So, it looks like we'll probably be doing more events like this one in the future.

Looking forward to our "Flames" event this morning. We are ready for our firefighter wives and girlfriends! If you didn't sign up, we still have room! Come on over! 9:00 am, 1011 S. Indiana Ave.
