AI uses AFG as Proving Ground
DOD Looks to Use Afghanistan as Cloud, AI Proving Ground Afghanistan will serve as a proving ground for the Pentagon’s future cloud infrastructure known as JEDI, as artificial-intelligence algorithms are introduced into America’s almost 18-year-old war, DOD officials suggested in a recent media roundtable.
Leadership at Luke Chapter AFA couldn't be finer. Over the past couple of years we have been blessed with a stream of Airmen who have brought leadership skills to the chapter. They have taken on all of the elected leadership roles (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and made a difference. This is unique within AFA chapters globally and does present challenges. Deployments, orders and mission priorities have impacts to continuity of chapter operations even thought these young leaders are attentive to responsibilities and sensitive to sustainment of our Luke chapter.
A better arrangement might be a mix of active duty and civilian leadership in the chapter. Active Duty Airmen are positioned to coordinate on-base AFA presence while civilians can do the same outside the front gate. The resulting collaboration of on-base and off-base perspectives can magnify the educate, advocate and support mission of AFA.
