The Bunker Project

Only those who have experienced combat – seen, felt, smelled, and tasted war – can truly understand the experiences, challenges, and strength that come with being a combat Veteran. Similarly, no one – including a Veteran - can anticipate the challenges of reintegration until they experience it for themselves. Returning Veterans face a myriad of challenges, which could include physical disabilities, psychological problems, family issues, employment or financial troubles, substance abuse, homelessness, and legal issues - just to name a few. The purpose of The Bunker Project is to prevent such issues among U.S. military Veterans and their families by providing housing during the time a veteran is in a vocational or educational training program. We coordinate additional resources as needed and the environment naturally provides peer support.
