Northwest Tech - Collegiate Farm Bureau

Four Precision Ag students — Fallon Bamford, Tanner Vyzourek, Tyler Hill, and Austin Keim — had an incredible opportunity to attend the 3-day Kansas Farm Bureau Conference in Manhattan, Kansas! 🌾✨

From start to finish, the conference was packed with valuable learning experiences, powerful keynote speakers, and engaging listening sessions covering a wide range of impactful agricultural and leadership topics. We spent our days soaking in knowledge, taking pages of notes, and gaining insights that will stick with us for a lifetime. Each session challenged us to think bigger, lead stronger, and bring new ideas back to our program and communities.

In addition to attending the conference, the four of us also competed as a team in the Quiz Bowl competition! It was an exciting experience that tested our agricultural knowledge, quick thinking, and teamwork. We were proud to represent our school and put our skills to the test alongside other talented teams from across the state.

Beyond the sessions and competition, the networking opportunities and conversations with fellow agriculture advocates were just as impactful. It was inspiring to be surrounded by individuals who are passionate about the future of agriculture and committed to making a difference.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to represent Fort Hays Tech | Northwest Precision Ag at such an outstanding event and are excited to apply everything that we learned. We would also like to say Thank You to everyone who made it possible for us to attend this event, with your support you made it possible! The future of agriculture is bright, and we’re proud to be apart of it! 🌟🌱

We had an amazing time representing the Kansas Collegiate Farm Bureau at this years Flatlanders Festival! It was great connecting with our community and celebrating agriculture, education, and small-town pride.

At the end of last week a group of students consisting of our members across a few of the departments at Northwest Tech got to take our first trip out to Nebraska to visit the final day of Husker Harvest Days, and to get a tour of the Bayer Water Utilization Learning Center! Across the two days, members were able to network with industry partners, explore potential job opportunities, and learn about the new equipment and technologies that are being implemented in the field of agriculture! Thanks to all of those who helped in supporting our chapter in being able to provide these types of opportunities to out members!
