Up in Fremont California they have elected officials that actually Listened to the people that pay them.
They tried the reverse angled parking and when 70% of the citizens hated it, they Changed It Back!
We did a little informal poll and over 90% of the people don't like the new parking in Goleta.
Think they'll change it back?

If you want a different perspective to Sacramento's forced housing mandates, follow "Our Neighborhood Voices". It's a non partisan, grassroots coalition aiming to amend the state constitution to restore local authority over land-use and zoning decisions.

This is Glen Annie golf course. It is also home to countless birds, mammals and pollinators. It is also an open space that is beautiful to look at and that has been proven to be beneficial for the physical and mental health of humans. Don't let Joan Hartmann and the county board of supervisors turn this into a thousand overpriced homes.
Please sign the petition.

You've probably noticed the 2 new apartment buildings being wedged in between Patterson, Calle Real, and the freeway.
One is a Housing Authority project that provides 23 units and only 19 parking spaces(?)
The other project houses 27 "luxury" apartments, that will rent for about $4,000.
During the approval process, hundreds of neighbors objected to the projects, but the County approved them anyways.
The traffic in this already congested area is about to get unbearable.

The city of Goleta admits the backwards parking in Old Town was just a two year april fool's joke that nobody got.

Sixty years ago, on the last page of his excellent history book, Walker Tompkins wrote, “It will be a difficult struggle, this unending feud between greed and beauty”.
Boy was he right. Today more than ever. Can we keep Goleta a good land?
