Read-A-Palooza is off to a fantastic start! 📚🎉
GVL Express’s Summer Reading kicked-off on Sat June 6 with 264 enthusiastic readers! Attendees enjoyed lively performances by Ukulele Jim and SB Aerial Dance, including impressive hula hooping demonstrations, along with songs and stories shared by library staff. There was plenty to explore throughout the event, from lawn games and crafts to bubbles, books, and opportunities to connect with fellow readers.
THANK YOU to Friends of the Goleta Valley Library for their continued support of our and to the Rotary Club of Goleta for their generous donation toward our lawn games, helping make this event even more fun and welcoming for everyone.
We're also incredibly grateful for our outstanding teen volunteers! They helped set up the event, register participants in Beanstack, hand out free books, assist with crafts and co****le, keep the bubbles flowing, answer questions, and help clean up after a busy day. Their energy, enthusiasm, and hard work helped make the event a success.

Goleta Valley Library's Read-A-Palooza Kick-Off event is this Saturday, June 6 from 11am-2pm.

We'll be set up behind the Goleta Community Center (5679 Hollister Ave, Goleta) between the Pickleball Courts and the Boys and Girls Club.
