Everything we pour into this CSA is rooted in love for our community, passion for growing good food, and a deep belief that fresh, local produce connects us all a little more closely to the land and to each other.

Thank you for supporting local agriculture and for choosing to eat with the seasons alongside us. Every box, every berry, and every shared meal helps keep local agriculture thriving. 🌱🍓🍑🍅🥦🥒

In late spring and early summer, I have strawberry recipes on repeat. As soon as these sweet, ruby red berries appear on the farm, I start tossing them into salads, blending them into drinks, eating them for breakfast, and of course making strawberry desserts. No summer is complete without a classic strawberry shortcake 🍓🍰see highlights for recipes✨

Hi there SGO followers, friends, and community!

I don’t usually ask for this kind of thing, but a few members encouraged me to share it, so here goes.

If Something Good Organics has brought a little more local, seasonal food into your home, and you feel we’ve earned it, we’d be honored if you nominated us in the Santa Barbara Independent’s Best of Santa Barbara awards.

You can find us under the Food category as a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture).

This little CSA is built on the support of people like you. Every box packed, every delivery made, every fruit tree planted, and every early morning harvest is possible because our members choose to support local farming. Whether you’ve been with us for years or just joined recently, thank you for being part of it.

No pressure at all—your support already means the world to us. But if you’d like to nominate us, we’d be incredibly grateful.

Thank you for helping us keep local food and local farming thriving in our community. 🌱💚

This Caprese salad recipe combines juicy, ripe tomatoes with fresh mozzarella and fragrant basil leaves. I finish it simply with drizzles of olive oil, a balsamic reduction, and plenty of flaky salt and pepper. See recipe in highlights ✨thanks to love and lemons 🍋

This week’s boxes are feeling extra colorful and abundant 🌱🍓🍅

Basic box:
• Carrots
• Green leaf lettuce
• Spinach
• Tomatoes
• Blackberries
• Strawberries

Regular additions:
• Eggplant
• Dill
• Kale
• Red cabbage

Large additions:
• Mountain Magic tomatoes
• Pickling cucumbers
• Green Little Gem lettuce
• Leeks
• Spring onion

One of our members described the tomatoes this week as “transcendentally flavorful,” and honestly… I’m convinced they are just that 🍅

We’re really hoping this kicks off a rad tomato season. I know it will. Summer is starting to show itself on the farm ☀️

Our seasonal fruit box is becoming more and more popular too, and this week’s fruit share included:
• Leah Cot apricots
• Blackberries
• Strawberries
• Tangelos
• Valencia oranges
• Lemons
• Ojai Pixies

There’s something really special about eating with the seasons and watching the harvest shift week to week. Thank you all for supporting local farming and being part of this community with us 🌱

A little peek into how we put together this week’s fruit expansion 🍊🫐

These organic Ojai Pixies and blackberries are so simple, fresh, and good — the kind of fruit that reminds me why eating seasonally matters so much. Sweet citrus, juicy berries, sticky fingers, kids sneaking fruit while we pack boxes… all the good stuff.

I really love that these farm boxes feel a bit like bringing the farmers market home each week. Delivered to a convenient location of your choice, everything is packed by hand with care for our members, and it means a lot to be able to share beautiful local fruit directly with this community.

Thank you for supporting local farming and being part of this little rhythm with us 💛

We’re heading into the last week of May, and the farm is truly shifting into that early summer abundance. The fields are warming up, the zucchini keeps giving, strawberries are finally catching up after a slower spring, and the fruit around the farm is beginning to feel endless in the best way.
This time of year always reminds me why eating seasonally matters so much — things arrive when they’re ready, sometimes all at once, and every week looks a little different because of it. Thank you all for rolling with the rhythms of the farm with us.

Summer is right around the corner ☀️This quick & easy recipe for grilled zucchini is a winner🏆 🌿

Slice zucchini lengthwise or into thick rounds

Toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder

Grill over medium-high heat for 3–4 minutes per side

Finish with lemon juice, parmesan, or fresh herbs

Simple, smoky, and perfect alongside grilled meat, sourdough, or tossed into pasta bowls ☀️

Thank you all for supporting local organic farming, for feeding your families with the seasons, and for helping us continue growing food here in Santa Barbara County. We’re grateful for every one of you 🌱
