Our hearts are incredibly heavy as we share the passing of our beloved founder, James "Jim" Rognlie, on June 1st.

Jim’s legacy, grit, and hard work are deeply woven into every corner of Building Maintenance Management. While he built the foundational heartbeat of BMM, his greatest pride and joy was always his family.

As we walk through this difficult time, the entire BMM family extends our deepest love, thoughts, and heartfelt condolences to Jim's family who mean so much to our community: his daughters Tammy and Laurel, his son-in-law Jay, and his grandsons Dane and Alex.

We are incredibly grateful for the lifetime of leadership and dedication Jim gave us, and we are committed to carrying his "People-First" standard forward.

Why does a plug burn like this? 🔥

It’s usually one of three things our team sees in the field:
1️⃣ Overloading: Too many high-draw appliances on one circuit.
2️⃣ Loose Connections: Wires that have vibrated loose over time, causing "arcing."
3️⃣ Worn Outlets: If a plug feels "loose" when you push it in, the contact is poor, leading to heat buildup.

If you see discoloration or smell a faint "fishy" or ozone scent near an outlet, don't wait. Kill the breaker and call in the pros. 🛠️

It’s officially 'The Next Chapter' for Mike Wilson! 🛠️ After 21 years at BMM, Mike has retired. He’s been a great Maintenance Tech, a mentor to many, and the ultimate 'Swiss Army Knife' of maintenance. While we’ll miss his wisdom in the mechanical rooms, we are so excited for his new adventures starting soon. Thank you for everything, Mike!
