Standing over any kitchen sink, it’s easy to conclude…food scraps have no business going down the drain…in any form. Well, that’s how we see it. In fact, it is why EarthBio developed ScrapDrain, the sink solids separator that fits both residential and commercial kitchen sinks everywhere. Sure, ScrapDrain prevents everyday plumbing problems but, more importantly, it can help reduce waste organics going to landfill that would otherwise generate harmful methane emissions. By shifting directions, ScrapDrain creates an easy option for composting or local recycling. A simple design with powerful downstream impact.
Manufactured in the USA, ScrapDrain captures food solids BEFORE sink drains in homes and restaurants across the country. Today, we’re announcing a campaign supporting ScrapDrain to help increase manufacturing capabilities, reach larger markets, and to affect environmental outcomes sooner and more broadly. You can join us now by viewing and backing ScrapDrain on Indiegogo: https://www.indiegogo.com/en/projects/earthbiotechnologies/scrapdrain-prevents-clogs-climate-change . Also, learn more at… scrapdrain.com .
We greatly appreciate your time, participation, and passing along the message.

“Liquid Gold” Rush at CHS Cafeteria
CHS Environmental Club and CSD Food Services (Chartwells) are entering into an exciting new partnership with EBtech , a local company with a new technology for processing food waste into an organic, nutrient-rich, liquid growing medium. Environmental Club members will be engaged as citizen scientists, testing the efficacy of EBTech’s product in a vertical hydroponic growing tower purchased with a grant from the Hamels Foundation, which CHS Science Dept Chair Paul DeSipio obtained.
Managing Partner Doug Horner will provide compost containers to CHS cafeteria staff and collect food waste daily to process it into their “liquid gold” called “Compolizer.” Environmental Club members will use this liquid to help grow fresh herbs and vegetables hydroponically, providing fresh food to the CHS cafeteria for use in school lunches. This creates a sustainable cycle that significantly diverts waste from landfills while capturing its nutrient value for new plant growth.
