The voter registration deadline crept up on us, too!😅 Whether you're registering for the first time or you recently moved and need to update, now is the time to register to vote and make sure you get your ballot in the mail this election cycle!

TODAY: The Arizona State Legislature passed its final budget proposal. The budget is not everything our communities fought for, nor does it meet the full scale of what Arizona families need. However, the final budget includes major protections and investments that move Arizona toward a people-first economy.

Notably, the final budget protects our Housing Trust Fund from Republican attempts to cut its funding and prevents 37,000 Arizonans from losing AHCCCS health coverage. We recognize that this budget does not fully address Arizona's long-term revenue and affordability crisis, but we know our movement is a marathon, not a sprint. We will continue fighting for an Arizona we can ALL afford.

Worker Power is proud to be a part of the People First Economy Coalition and is inspired by every Arizonan that participated during the months of community advocacy, member leadership, testimony, story sharing, and direct pressure–this step forward would not be possible without you.

Our next endorse ment announcement is... Adelita Grijalva for Congressional District 7!

🤔 You might be thinking... didn't Worker Power endorse her just last year? Yes!
Adelita has been a strong fighter for Arizona in Congress, so we're endorsing again!
If you're in Congressional District 7, keep an eye out for Adelita on your ballot.

Our awesome team of canvassers is knocking doors and talking to voters about the petition to rein in school vouchers! Vouchers are draining $1.05 BILLION from the State budget this year at the expense of our public schools.

We're excited to be in the fight to defend education!💪

Today, Glendale City a council voted 4-3 to remove Councilmember Lupe Conchas from his elected position as representative of the Cactus District. Worker Power supports Lupe Conchas and strongly opposes this decision.

Some more photos from our wonderful Town Hall in Tucson!
This is what it looks like when elected leaders are actually there for community, not corporate interests. Thank you to State Senator Priya Sundareshan and State Representative Stephanie Stahl Hamilton

Thank you to everyone who joined us Saturday evening for our Sudanese Community Town Hall in Tucson!

We love connecting community members to their electeds and creating spaces where we can share the challenges we see in our cities and towns.

Keep your eyes peeled for the next one!
