Attention Members! Please be aware that we have requested a seniority list from the Personnel Commission some time ago, and once it is available you will be notified here when it goes up on our website.

We are aware that our members have been receiving letters this week, and we ask that you make the time to attend the LAUSD Board Meeting this Tuesday and let your voice be heard on how these cuts & bumps affect not only you but the work environment too!

If you're free on Tuesday, May 14 there will be a rally at noon at 333 S Grand in Los Angeles.

Sisters and Brothers,

The Fed is in the thick of the fight to stop the Koch Brothers (the guys who brought us WI, Prop 32, super PACs, environmental degradation and all kinds of good things) from buying the LA TIMES.

We are having major action on Tuesday, May 14, at noon, in downtown LA, outside of Oaktree Capital Management (333 S. Grand, Los Angeles). Oaktree owns the Tribune Co., the LA TIMES parent corporation. Oaktree also happens to manage a whole lot of public employee and union pension money.

Whatever one thinks about the LA TIMES, having these extreme right wing billionaires run the LA TIMES would be a disaster.

This is less a business decision for the Koch family than an attempt to use the media to reshape our country in their image.

Please join us to show your support.
