"The Lord your God cared for you all along the way as you traveled through the wilderness, just as a father cares for his child." โ€“Deuteronomy 1:31

Join us this Sunday as we celebrate Father's Day and honor the amazing dads and father figures in our community. Just as God faithfully cares for His children, we're grateful for the dads who reflect His love through their strength, guidance, and steady presence.

After service, stop by the front lawn for a special Father's Day treat as our way of saying thank you. We can't wait to celebrate with you! ๐Ÿ’›๐ŸŽ‰

Today commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and marks a significant moment of freedom in our nationโ€™s history! ๐ŸŽ‰ Although the Emancipation Proclamation was issued in 1863, it wasnโ€™t until June 19, 1865, that the news of freedom reached more than 250,000 enslaved Black people in Texas.

As we remember this important day, we honor the resilience, faith, and perseverance of those who endured injustice while celebrating the freedom and dignity that God desires for all people. We encourage you to take time to learn more about the history and significance of Juneteenth through the resources available at Expression58.org/Events

This past Sunday we had an early celebration with red velvet cupcakes after service! Why red velvet? For Juneteenth celebrations, the color red represents the struggle of those who were enslaved, the blood they shed, and ultimately their resilience. โค๏ธ

This past Sunday, Pastor Jen talked about how we are called to build each other up. One way we can do this is by speaking life-giving words to one another. Our words are powerful. They can either harm or give life. Words can be like poison or like fruit and beautiful gifts (Proverbs 18:21). It is easy to point out what is messy, broken, or not working. We are called to use our voices to speak healing, solutions, and hope. When we canโ€™t figure out what exactly that is, we can ask God, โ€œGod, what do you say about this person or situation?โ€ Today, make it a point to reach out to someone with a word of encouragement, a kind truth, or simply an expression of hope. Speak up, and share God's love and encouragement with them.

This summer (and every season), we're choosing a diet of hope. ๐Ÿ‡โœจ

This past Sunday, Pastor Jen challenged us to take inventory of what we're consuming. In a world filled with constant messages, endless content, and competing voices, what we feed our minds and hearts matters.

If we want to be strengthened in the Lord, we need a steady diet of hope. ๐Ÿ’› Listen to Pastor Jen's message, "Building Yourself Up," now on YouTube. Link in bio! ๐ŸŽง
