CamelBackyard has had the help of hives for some years now but recently acquired equipment to manage and maintain our bees! We are eager to learn more and teach others along the way!
We are so thankful for our bees, our volunteers and farmers on hand to help harvest some honey today. We are using food grade buckets and cheese cloth to capture our first batch of honey. 🍯🐝❤️

After a long hot summer the New Roots monthly farm stand is back in October! Join us next Saturday October 18th and get fresh locally grown produce from 9 am - 12 pm. We are also accepting volunteers to help with projects around the farm. Come enjoy the cooler weather with us!

We celebrated a milestone this year at CamelBackyard, turning 10 years old. We can’t believe it either! 🫶🎉

Third Saturday Farm Stand happening October 18th, 9am-12pm. Buy local farm fresh produce with EBT, SFMNP, FMNP coupons, cash or card.

Farmer field trip to neighbor farm in south Phoenix, Spaces of Opportunity, where they are doing some amazing things. Check out their market every 2nd Saturday!

Incubator farm plots, community gardens, kids learning zone, food forest, and a monthly farmers market.

We will be having a simple summer squash food demo and recipe cards for all shoppers!

Games and sidewalk chalk available for kids along with self guided tours of the herb garden and Aquaponics greenhouse.

Come join New Roots Farm Stand and support small scale urban farming. The Farm Stand is an incubator market for beginning farmers and gardeners interested in starting their farm business.
