📣 Make a Difference in Glen Ridge – Run for Office!

The Civic Conference Committee (CCC) invites Glen Ridge residents who are considering a run for Borough Council or Board of Education this November to apply for CCC endorsement.

If you’re ready to help build a stronger, more resilient borough — and you bring professional skills and a collaborative approach — we encourage you to complete the Candidate Information Form https://bit.ly/CCC2026Candidate by April 3, 2026.

The CCC is a non-partisan, volunteer committee made up of Glen Ridge residents representing a wide range of ages, backgrounds, and perspectives. Each spring, the committee interviews interested candidates in April, votes on endorsements in May, and supports endorsed candidates through the process of appearing on the Essex County Board of Elections ballot for the November 2026 election.

The CCC does not promote specific policies or political positions. Instead, we seek to identify and endorse candidates who demonstrate strong qualifications, sound judgment, and a genuine commitment to serving Glen Ridge in a thoughtful, non-partisan way. For more information about the CCC, please visit our website at: https://glenridgeccc.wordpress.com/

If you care deeply about the future of Glen Ridge and want to contribute meaningfully to local leadership, we hope you’ll consider applying.

It is not necessary to be endorsed by the CCC to run for office. If an individual chooses to run for office who has not been endorsed by the CCC, we welcome their candidacy and that person can obtain petition information from the Borough and Board of Ed Administrative offices.

The CCC "Meet the Candidates Night" on October 23, 2025 was a big success, including a moderated Q&A session with our 2025 Borough and Board of Education candidates and positive, engaged dialogue with the packed room of Glen Ridge residents who came to participate. It was so gratifying to see such a large community turnout.

A special thanks goes out to all the candidates for coming to share their points of view and perspectives on why they are running for office and what they can contribute to our Glen Ridge community.

Don’t forget to vote on November 4th!
