Drivers of SWAG Racing: Kason Howe, Kelly Myers Howe David Liles, and Jason Howe....

Swag racing loaded up the #14 Ford Torino and the #6 Ford F100 heading to Carteret County Speedway to race with the Virginia Vintage Racers! Kason Howe would pilot the 14 while Frederick O Daniels took the wheel of the 6 . Both race vehicles had issues during the afternoon practices but SWAG Racing won’t give up getting both repaired and able to start the 30 lap race. Ole Heavy (6) had to be pushed started every time but the racing community all the way down pit road helped!
Howe showed speed from the start but just after halfway spun and the car wouldn’t refire and retired. Meanwhile Fred ran solid laps fishing 4th on track and P2 for Sportsman class with Howe P3.
A post race DQ for post race weight moved all positions up 1 position making the #6 F100 a race winner in Daniel’s first vintage race🏁🏆

SWAG Racing – Dominion Raceway Recap (5/3/26)
“Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus…” — Hebrews 12:1–2
No sleep.
3 race cars.
3 races.
135 laps.
That’s how SWAG Racing showed up this weekend at Dominion Raceway. Kason “The Kid” Howe pulled triple duty—driving the #14 Ford Torino owned by David Liles and the #12 Late Model owned by Bobby Creech, along with both ARLM 50s—while Jason “Da Fhaddah” Howe also took to the track in the #6 Ford F100. A huge part of making that possible was the trust behind the equipment. David Liles, owner of the #14 Torino and #6 F100, and Bobby Creech, owner of the #12 Late Model, both gave our team the opportunity to compete this weekend. The week leading into race day was a grind. Friday night turned into Saturday morning, wrenching until 5AM just to get the Torino ready. After barely an hour of sleep, it was straight to the track for five hours of practice. Then race day hit… and everything started fighting back.
Ignition issues.
A clutch pushrod bent in half on Jason’s truck before he could even make a lap.
A throwout bearing failure that meant pulling a transmission at the track. Most teams would’ve folded.
This team went to work.
RJ Underwood absolutely earned the title of hardest working crew member of the weekend—no hesitation, no quitting, just nonstop problem solving, wrench turning, and keeping both programs alive under pressure. At the same time, Logan Fowler wasn’t just spotting he was fully in the mix all weekend. Constant communication, real-time coaching, and keeping Kason dialed in through every session. Track position, traffic, adjustments Logan was right there guiding every lap like he was in the seat himself.
After Kason climbed into Bobby Creech’s #12 ARLM, Jason strapped him in, secured the window net, gave him a fist bump, and said:
“Time for you to do you.”
That moment set the tone.
🏁 ARLM Race 1 (Kason): Started 7th, finished 7th
🏁 VVR Race:
Kason charged from the back to the lead in the Sportsman division before a mechanical issue ended his run early (P10 overall / P6 Sportsman).
Jason, after getting his truck repaired, went out and ran a clean, steady “Sunday drive” in the #6 F100—bringing it home P8 overall / P4 Sportsman.
🏁 ARLM Race 2 (Kason): Right back in the #12… another 7th place finish
And for a little weekend humor.. This was the second time father and son shared the track together. And both times, The Kid was way faster than his old man.
But much like the tortoise and the hare… the father is somehow still 2-0.
We’ll call it experience. Or luck. Maybe both.
Three races.
Minimal rest.
Constant adversity.
No excuses.
Just perseverance.
This weekend wasn’t about perfect finishes—it was about something bigger.
Faith when things don’t go your way.
Endurance when you’re exhausted.
A team that refuses to quit on each other.
That’s SWAG.
It’s more than racing.
It’s living out our faith.
It’s showing up with purpose.
It’s representing Christ in everything we do—on and off the track.
This team is what makes it all possible:
David Liles– Owner of the #14 Torino and #6 F100
Bobby Creech – Owner of the #12 Late Model, opportunity, and support
Randy Underwood Rj – Hardest working crew member of the weekend
Kason“The Kid” Howe – Driver and relentless preparation
Jason “Da Fhaddah” Howe – Driver, team builder, and balancing it all
Randy Harris – Setup on the #12 ARLM

SWAG Racing had an amazing day at Dominion Raceway! We were so thankful to see so many fans come out to support our drivers, Kason Howe and Jason Howe.
Kason drove the #14 Torino owned by David Liles in the Virginia Vintage class, as well as the #12 owned by Bobby Creech in the Late Model American Racers. Jason drove the #6 Ford F100 — “The Six Shooter” — owned by David Liles and Jerry Rhinehart in the Virginia Vintage class. Thank you RJ Underwood for all your hard work today!
A special thank you to all of our supporters who came out to cheer them on! It meant so much to have such a great crowd.
We were especially excited to have some very special guests with us — Mrs. Howe’s previous, current and upcoming Kindergarten students from Beaverdam Christian Academy, along with fellow teachers and even the principal. Your support made the day even more memorable!
We appreciate everyone who showed up — we couldn’t do it without you!
