Today’s project was removing an old air conditioner above an entryway—it had basically become a big hole to the outdoors!

Air leaks like that are a big source of heat loss in winter and cool air loss in summer, so sealing them up can make a real difference in energy efficiency. The owner is opting for a mini-split as a replacement in a different location.

Once the opening is framed back in, it will be ready for a fresh coat of paint!

Throwback to one of our favorite bathroom renovations. 🛁

We doubled the size of the space by expanding into the old screened-in porch and moving out the exterior wall. After repairing hidden rot from the original tub, we installed porcelain tile made to look like wood, a corner shower, and a classic clawfoot tub. Wood from the old wall was salvaged and turned into a live edge floating shelf.

Wishing everyone a happy New Year as we head into 2026!

Gave this old workshop a little love—repaired the rot, added new rough-cut pine board and batten, and kept the original mahogany lock handmade by the owner’s family. The best projects honor what’s already there! 🔨

Our tiniest apprentice reporting for duty 👷🏻‍♀️🔨 One year old, rocking her own toolbelt, and ready to build… after snack time of course!

We recently completed this 6x12x8 woodshed, built from pressure-treated lumber with decking and a durable metal roof.

The crushed stone base provides drainage and animal-proofing, a solid foundation for a structure built to withstand New England weather and hold up to 3 cords of wood. 🪵

Throwback to this window upgrade! 🙌🪟

We replaced the windows with new Harvey sliders, featuring a clean grille design. This simple upgrade makes for a bright, modern sunroom that can be enjoyed year-round.

Too much flashing can cause hidden damage... 🏠💧

Flashing (tape or metal used to keep water out) only works when it’s installed right. Piling on more flashing instead of finding the root cause of a leak can trap water—leading to rot like this behind the siding. Sometimes the problem isn’t the window itself, it’s an issue above it from trim or siding details. Stay tuned for the after photos!

This screened-in porch project is complete. 🏡 With PT framing, a sunroof, and carefully repurposed screen panels cut to size, this porch is now a cozy 3-season space without the bugs or rain.

We love making new feathered friends at work. Our client's chickens, ducks, and turkeys couldn't resist exploring around our nearly finished screened-in porch today! 🐓
