First harvest of cucumbers from the garden! Let the pickling begin! 🥒

9 chicks hatched so far!

First hatch of the year, day 20 in the incubator and we've got 2 eggs pipping. Pipping is the process where a chick breaks out of its shell. Excited for tomorrow to see how they turn out. Got the next batch of eggs ready to go in already!

It's that time of year! Grass is growing people are mowing but not me. I'm breaking out the poly netting to let the goats graze in the yard and give the pasture a much needed rest. While the goats are grazing in the yard I put up the first section of eletric cross fence in the pasture. I'm running a hot ground system so hopefully the goats will behave when they get back to the pasture!

I needed to go to Tractor Supply and get a couple of things for a project. I asked the wife if she wanted to go....now instead of the two items I needed for my project I ended up with 6 chicks🐥 and 2 ducklings 🦆 and spent the rest of the afternoon setting up the brooder.... Long story short don't take your wife and daughter to Tractor Supply during spring time....

4 Buff Orpingtons, 2 Crested Legbars, and 2 Kaki Campbell ducklings. Plus 9 days left on the 18 eggs I have in the incubator🐣....

Excited to see how these chick's turn out.

It's an eggxcellent day here on the farm! Had breakfast burritos with farm fresh eggs and homemade hog sausage. Got another chicken broke down for dinner and a fresh batch of broth going.
