Etex is proud to announce the conclusion of another successful scholarship season and extend our congratulations to the graduating Class of 2026! This year, we awarded $61,005 in scholarships to outstanding East Texas students across 18 local school districts. Supporting the educational goals of our students reflects Etex's ongoing commitment to investing in the communities we serve and helping build a brighter future for East Texas.

Over the past 25+ years, Etex has invested in the future leaders of our communities. We are honored to present the following student with a $1,000 scholarship!

Thank you to everyone who participated in our recent community Internet survey. Stay tuned for what survey participant won a $200 amazon Gift card for completing our survey!

With over 1,100 responses from across East Texas, we learned a lot about what matters most to families in the communities we serve.

Here are a few things we heard loud and clear:

1. Internet is no longer a luxury. Most respondents rely on it every day for streaming, banking, shopping, work, school, video calls, home security, healthcare, and staying connected with family and friends.

2. Reliability matters. When asked about Internet service, respondents consistently ranked reliability and fast support ahead of simply finding the lowest price.

3. Local support makes a difference. Many respondents said knowing issues could be resolved quickly by local technicians would influence their decision when choosing a provider.

4. Relationships still matter. The most common way people said they first heard about Etex was through friends and family, reminding us that trust is earned one customer at a time.

For almost 75 years, our mission has been simple: provide reliable connections and support the communities we call home. We are grateful for the feedback and will continue working every day to earn your trust.

We’re proud to announce the launch of a new workforce learning program in partnership with Transfr , introducing LINK (Learning Immersively for Next-Gen Knowledge), an innovative initiative designed to build broadband talent across rural Texas. Through cutting-edge VR training and industry-aligned curriculum, LINK empowers high school students and local workers with the skills needed for high-demand careers in broadband and telecommunications, all without leaving their communities. In collaboration with Transfr and fellow rural broadband providers, we’re creating meaningful pathways to opportunity while helping bridge the digital divide across Texas. We’re especially excited that three East Texas school districts, Gilmer, Ore City , and Union Hill, are leading the way as the first in the state to launch this program.
