God Inspired Games

1 Thessalonians 5:17 tells us to "pray without ceasing." This means we should have an ongoing conversation with God throughout our daily lives. Prayer should be as natural to us as breathing - something we do continuously without even thinking about it.

When we pray without ceasing, it transforms our outlook and attitude. We stop trying to handle everything on our own and instead rely on God's strength, wisdom and guidance. It reduces our stress and worry, as we release our burdens to the Lord.

The key is to integrate prayer into all aspects of your day. You can pray while commuting to work, doing household chores, interacting with others, making decisions - the opportunities are endless! What are some ways you can pray without ceasing in your daily routine? How has constant prayer impacted your faith and outlook on life? I'd love to hear your experiences!

Forgive and be forgiven. Are you forgiven? Do you believe that you are truly forgiven? I know that attacks come in all kinds of shapes and sizes. From time to time those questions might creep in or might knock you down and send you into a tailspin. It is important that there is a difference between head knowledge and heart knowledge when it comes to believing and knowing that you know you are forgiven. What are your favorite places to turn when you question your salvation? Or when you question if you are actually forgiven?

Here is a passage I turn to.
'It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.' Luke 23:44-46 NIV

Good Morning and God Bless!!!

When you hear God do you listen and obey? I know that this is something that many people including myself struggle with. I do better when it is a still small voice or if He is using someone that I feel listens to His voice and leading. During times of question I do spend a lot of time in prayer and reflection. Are there verses you refer to when you really are needing to know if you are hearing from God? Or when you are trying to figure out if it was God that you heard?

God tells us to run the good race and to never stop doing good. I know that I have days when this is a very very hard thing to do. Worse yet some of those days seem to go on for weeks or months. I love this verse from Hebrews to help keep me focused. Do you have any verses that you turn to in moments of hard times? Or in times when it seems like you just are not hearing God speak? I find that I have usually allowed the world to creep in or that sin has tripped me up.

Have you ever been asking for answers and you think "God are you hearing me?" or "HELLO are you there I have to know if this job is in your will God?" So as I grow and learn more and more about God and the amazing person that I am in Him, the more I feel like I am constantly asking those types of questions. I do frequently remind myself that God's timing is not like my timing.

"The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him." Lamentations 3:25 NLT

Are there any verses like these that remind you to stop questioning His timing?

Are you a person that will fall to your knees in any situation when you hear God saying, "Pray"? I know that it does not mean that you literally have to hit your knees, although there are many times that I do personally believe it is needed to actually hit your knees in prayer, to show reverence to God. In those moments of life are you one that will stop to pray about whatever the situation may be or do you continue on and then pray about it when you are at home? I do think that God calls us to be obedient to His voice at the moment that we hear it, rather is is to pray or to speak to someone, to pick up that piece of trash we see on the ground. Personally I know I have both failed and succeeded at being obedient, there were times I let the fear of what the people in the 'world' would think of me if I did as He was asking of me. Today I hope that I am past that. Which side do you tend to fall on?

Another personal reflection, this time about what all I have been set free from. Recently I have been going through a lot of changes that if I did not trust God to have my best interest in all of life's aspects, I would be a total wreck. God sets us free from having to worry about anything. He loves us so much that he takes care of all the "stuff". By stuff I mean the next job, school class, even worship song that might move you to tears. He broke all the things that can hinder us from getting closer to Him. What have you been set free from?

I never seem to stop being amazed by our King. Does he ever just blow your mind say when walking through the grocery store, or when you are sitting outside enjoying a cup of coffee? I know that we have been commanded to love and lately God has showed up in very odd ways to give me the love that I needed in the moment. This has now challenged me to be acting out of love in all moments towards everyone. Do you have moments like this?

Some days when everything seems a bit bleak, dark and underwhelming it is hard to remember God has your back. Recently I have entered into a new time in my life, one with a lot of uncertainty. I know that God has a plan and that I have to put my hope in Him alone. God showed up in an unexpected way for me. There are many verses that remind me of God's goodness and how he does show up in these times. Today I chose Isaiah 55:8, the dark background and a ladybug to remind myself that there is beauty in Him, and that God has a plan.

Do you have those moments of doubt? Or perhaps not doubt but uncertainty like myself and turn to God for understanding?

Do you have times when you feel like God is distant? Or times that when you have asked for an answer that you really want but you only find silence? I know I have these times and there is one thing that I like to remember from the book of Romans.

"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." Romans 12:12 NIV

Persistence is a good thing in prayer, and when I know I have been persistent and that it is a request that does fit in God's will but I still seem to be in the place of silence. I have to think about what is blocking me hearing from Him. In those moments I also have to ask myself if I am distracted. Do you have these times too? What do you do to try and reconnect?

The struggles of life sometimes make me forget that I have been set free. I know that I am a member of the body of Christ and that all things have been made new (2 Corinthians 5:17) but I do still fail to live in the freedom that was freely given to us who believe. Those moments when I fail to show the love of Christ to everyone around me do come back to full view and I must repent and ask for God to help me walk in the freedom.

"And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32 NLT

Every day we come across something that just seems to not be right, or well I do. Some times it might just be a random thought about how the people of the world seem to be sucked into a darker place. There are times that I find myself forgetting that I am not at home in this place and I need to be reminded to breathe and that God gave me that breath. I then also think about the fact that God does not make mistakes and what He has done in me will remain forever.
