New credit card scam for small business!! A couple weeks ago, as per usual, I had a call trying to sell credit card processing services. They asked who I was currently using for CC processing. The call ended with them hanging up on the phone. Today they called again (thank you caller ID). This time the caller presented themself as from my current CC provider to offer a "rebate" for PCI compliance and a "rebate" of interchange fees of the current class action settlement against Visa and Mastercard. Neither of these are legitimate "rebates". The caller was attempting to get my merchant ID # and bank info to "process the rebate". Fortunately, I deal with scams every day and saw this was fake and ended the call. I then called my provider, they in fact did not call me. HEADS UP to small business providers who accept credit cards, there is not a "rebate"
from the class action lawsuit nor for being PCI compliant!

In preparation for a recycling event in Crook County, I will be taking the recycling trailer to Denver around the end of August. The trailer isn't full yet and I don't see the point in taking a half full trailer, so let's fill it up!
