It’s — a day where we introduce you to the incredible people who are helping change lives and make a difference at the YES House 💙
Today, we’d like you to meet Kellyn Gillenwater, our Grants Manager, who joined the YES House team on February 16th 2025! In her role, she helps support the organization by securing funding that allows YES House to continue providing vital programs, resources, and care for the youth we serve.
When asked about her favorite thing about YES House so far, Kellyn shared that one of the things that has stood out most is the safety and support the organization provides for youth. She has already seen how deeply the staff care about the young people who come through our doors. Their dedication to helping each youth grow, heal, and move forward in a positive direction is truly inspiring, and it’s something that makes her proud to be part of the team.
One thing Kellyn wishes everyone knew about YES House is that many of the teens who come here are going through some of the hardest moments of their lives. YES House provides them with safety, guidance, and people who genuinely believe in them. It’s a place where youth can find hope, build confidence, and begin to see that their future can be brighter. 💙

Congratulations to all the current and former YES House clients that graduated high school this month. This year the YES House had a record 45 students graduate at various schools across the state. These amazing young adults have at some point over the past several years attended the YES House School and earned credit towards graduating.
Each year the YES House school serves close to 100 students and helps those youth work towards getting their diploma.

It’s — a day where we introduce you to the incredible people who are changing lives and making a difference at the YES House 💙
Today, we’d like you to meet Susan Glanzer! She has been a dedicated part of the YES House team for many years, bringing compassion, experience, and heart to the work she does every day.
When asked what her favorite thing about the YES House is, she shared:
“My favorite thing about the YES House is the moments of hope. Seeing families and youth walk in unsure and leave feeling empowered, connected, and supported is incredibly meaningful. That’s why I’ve stayed with the YES House all these years.”
One thing she wishes everyone knew about the YES House is that it’s a community-focused, family-centered agency — a place where people come together, families support one another, youth feel inspired, and everyone knows they belong. Being part of something that creates that kind of impact is truly powerful.
Fun fact: She has been married for 38 years and has lived in Gillette for 27 of those years ❤️

It’s , and we’re excited to highlight the incredible people who help power the YES House!
Today, we’d like you to meet Deborah Proctor, a dedicated member of the Y.E.S. House Board of Directors.
Deborah has been serving on the board for more than 30 years — a true testament to her commitment and passion for the mission. When Pattie Jessen first asked her to consider joining, Deborah reflected on the strong support system she had growing up in Sundance. Recognizing that many of the youth served by Y.E.S. House may not have that same level of support inspired her to step in and make a difference. Hearing stories from past clients about the positive impact of Y.E.S. House continues to fuel her dedication and drive to ensure services reach the youth and families who need them most.
Deborah comes from a family with deep roots in Crook County, dating back to the late 1800s — a heritage she is incredibly proud of. She graduated from Sundance High School in 1968 and went on to attend the University of Wyoming, where she spent six years immersed in academics, activities, and cheering on the Cowboys and Cowgirls. Deborah is a retired educator, having dedicated 30 years to the Campbell County School District as a library media specialist at both the elementary and secondary levels. She is a strong advocate for public education and believes deeply in the value of extracurricular activities, from music and sports to student leadership and hands-on learning opportunities.
She is also grateful for the support of her husband, Jerry Bennett, who encourages her community involvement every step of the way.
Fun fact: Deborah loves gardening and is continually amazed by the miracle of nature — especially how a tiny corn seed can grow into a seven-foot stalk in just a few months! She enjoys tending to her garden at home and at the community garden, where she values the opportunity to learn alongside fellow gardeners each season.
If you see Deborah around town, be sure to thank her for her incredible dedication and decades of service to the Y.E.S. House. 💙
