Project Love Thy Neighbor
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
- Matthew 22:39
Today was a great day for Project Love Thy Neighbor. Thank you to everyone who was a part of Award Winning Chili Day.
Today I walked into the community hall. Chose a seat next to a familiar face. She had been crying. I didn't ask what was wrong. I simply offered truth. GOD IS GOOD. Things are in His hands. Said things like that. Then I began to tell her how my day was. I talked about how my grandmother is ill, but I am trusting in God. We mentioned the weather. We just made small talk. I passed her a napkin, she joked about the meal being better than jail food. And the company was better too. When she left she said good bye, and then said very sincerely, "Thanks." No matter where we are in life we are not alone. Jesus will never leave or forsake us. So when you are struggling to keep a smile or maybe even having the hardest day ever. Be kind. Be gentle. Give glory to God. And be thankful. The biggest impact this familiar face had on me was she left better than she came. All the glory to God.
Dignity Day is Saturday February 21, 2026 at the soup kitchen in Gillette WY. Come have locally famous nachos and get your hygiene items and laundry soap. Items will be available until gone. Thank you to everybody who made the Abundant Life Dignity Drive 2026, a huge success. I love you all.
The Bible says, When you give to the poor you loan to God. He will surely repay you. Often times acts of kindness involve us giving our very precious time. Can you think of any thing better to do with your time than be kind?
Things change, people come and go. But God is always the same, yesterday, today, and forever. He will never leave you or forsake you. I love you all.

There is a very worldly question about a tree falling in the forest. If nobody is around, does it make a sound? Lets look at this from a loving neighbors view. Yes! We don't have to experience someone else's trauma to feel their pain. So we are not off the hook to show them compassion or love or understanding. Today look for somebody to love. You may be shocked at how somebody responds to a simple question? How are you today? Can I pray with you? Do you have a need? Let's talk to God about it. How can I help? I love you all. That is all.
February 2026 is our dignity drive. In the days leading up to our regularly scheduled service day at the soup kitchen in February we will be collecting hygiene items at the Abundant Life Church. These items will be freely given to anybody in our community who has a need. Every bit helps as this is our fourth year collecting items and every year the need seems to grow. Every thing from laundry soap to toothpaste to chapstick would be greatly appreciated. I love you all and thank you for helping. Please share.
