🚨 Consignment PSA 🚨

Friends... we know it's trailer clean-out season. We know there are mysterious tack room corners that haven't seen daylight since 2017. We know some of y'all are finding treasures you forgot you owned.

But this... 👇
..is not a consignment item. 😅

This is what we in the industry call "retired."

When considering items for consignment, please ask yourself:

✅ Would I buy this?
✅ Is it clean?
✅ Is it functional?
✅ Is it safe to use?

If the answer is "absolutely not" or "only if I was stranded in the desert," it's probably not a consignment item.

We are happy to help sell your gently used tack and equipment, but we cannot accept items that are broken, damaged, excessively worn, unsafe, or in need of a one-way trip to the trash can.

Before bringing items in, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our consignment requirements. It helps us process your items faster and keeps our inventory full of quality products our customers can actually use.

We love a good bargain.
We love recycled tack.
We do not love receiving someone's "well, maybe somebody can do something with it" pile. 😂

All items must be presented clean, complete, and free of defects.
All consignment items must be in a usable condition.
Items with one or more of the following will NOT be accepted:

Bent, crushed, or otherwise damaged
Dry and cracked leather
Extreme hair clumping
Missing or corroded hardware
Rips, tears, and holes
Rotted leather or other materials
Smoke free

All consignment items, including any tubs, cartons, or other containers in which the consignment items are brought into the store, must be clear of any mouse droppings or any other hazardous substances.

Consigners must allow for our staff to perform a quality screening of their items. Any No Thank You (NTY) items can be set aside for pick-up by the consigner or disposed of by Saddle Up.

When in doubt, throw it out!

Thank you for helping us keep our consignment program full of quality items and not accidental archaeology projects. 🤠

Breast collar edition: Goldilocks and the Three Bears 🤠🐴

One’s too tight…
One’s too loose…
And one is juuust right 👀

Believe it or not, breast collar fit can make a huge difference in your horse’s comfort and safety while riding.

A breast collar that’s too tight can restrict shoulder movement, create pressure points, and cause discomfort. Too loose, and it may not stay properly engaged, can shift around while riding, or even become a safety concern if a horse gets a leg caught.

The goal is a fit that allows your horse to move freely while still keeping the saddle secure when needed.

Swipe through to see examples of:
❌ Too Tight
✅ Just Right
❌ Too Loose

Proper tack fit matters, and small adjustments can make a big difference for your horse 🤎

Did you already know the difference, or did one of these surprise you? 👇
