Grace Covenant Church

We invite you to join us as we seek to glorify God, serve the local body of believers and reach out to the local community and beyond with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We praise God for the recent blessing of a fourth elder and pastor, Casey Ryan. Our church had the joy of seeing Pastor Casey ordained in February. We are also thankful for those men who could participate in the ordination service, including those from our associational churches in Confessional Baptists of the Southwest, as well as guests like Dr. James Dolezal and Jatniel Perez.
We are rejoicing in God’s favor towards us, and pray for his continued faithfulness and mercy as he provides for and strengthens his church.
A recording of the ordination service can be found on our GCC SermonAudio page.

Join us on Saturday, February 28, as we host another theological workshop at Grace Covenant Church. Dr. James Dolezal will be presenting important and ever-relevant material on the doctrine of God.
What is a GCC theological workshop? It is a one-day class with a series of lectures on a specific area of Christian doctrine taught by someone well-studied in that theological area. The purpose of these workshops is to deepen our understanding of the truths of Scripture so that we might love God better with our minds, hearts, and souls.
Topics to be considered this year: Divine Simplicity, Infinity, Impassibility, Eternity, Knowledge, and God’s Will.

On September 8th, 1985, Grace Covenant Church held its first worship service at the Landmark Restaurant in west Mesa. Over the past 40 years, God has demonstrated his great faithfulness to our church family, and we give Him all the praise for His lovingkindness (Psalm 126:3).
To celebrate God’s goodness on this milestone in the life of our church, we will be hosting a banquet on November 8th. More details to come!

We enjoyed a wonderful Lord’s Day today with ministry in the word from Pastor Sam Gunnip of Noeun Sola Reformed Baptist Church in South Korea. We are thankful for Pastor Gunnip’s partnership in the gospel and the opportunity to spend some time with his precious family. Please keep them in your prayers as they travel the U.S. for a little longer before heading back home to South Korea.

We recently held a funeral service for a dear member of our church, Jerry Petty, who went home to glory at the end of February.
It was an opportunity for us who Jerry left behind to celebrate the long and productive life that our Creator gave to him. It was also a time to mourn; to express our grief to God and to each other.
But in the case of Jerry Petty, we do not mourn as those who have no hope. No, we know that Jerry has fought the good fight, he has finished his race, he has kept the faith— and now he has entered into glory. And so even as we mourn his absence from us, in these things we rejoice in the goodness of God.
