Did you know your hair can grow in darker while you are pregnant?

With all the changes in your hormones during that stage of life, it can also affect your hair’s texture, density, AND color!

I’ve noticed this in several of my own clients, essentially with a natural hair color level 7 and lighter.

~During pregnancy their hair grew in a half to full shade a level darker. After birth, their natural color comes in lighter (as before) and a “band” is left.

How I blend this depends on their ultimate goal. If they want to brighten things up again, I have to do double the foils to break up the band. Typically through the crown to begin with and continued to address the nape in following appointments (for timing purposes)

Or in this case, my client wanted to go a little darker all over so I root smudged to match the band with Goldwell Colorance 7N & 7NA that will fade easily for her to keep maintenance minimal. We will continue to address the band in future appointments as needed to coincide with my clients goal looks.
