MEET COSSETTE: Before her life with us began, Cossette’s world was filled with pain, neglect, and silence. Found alone and very ill at the county shelter, this frail 4-year-old French Bulldog was battling more suffering than any living soul should ever endure. Severe emaciation, painful skin and ear infections, intestinal parasites, and severe cherry eyes left her exhausted and hurting, waiting in the dark for a kindness that felt like it might never come.

Everything changed the day Carrie On Rescue pulled her into safety. Thanks to an incredible medical grant from PACC911, Cossette received the urgent, top-tier veterinary care she so desperately needed. Wrapped in the warmth and comfort of a loving foster home, her true spirit began to bloom. Today, she has gained 5 crucial pounds (weighing 20 pounds) and is thriving—fully restored, healthy, spayed, microchipped, licensed, up-to-date on all vaccines (including rabies), and completely healed.

Despite the deep scars of her past, Cossette harbors zero bitterness. She has emerged as an absolute dream dog—the most gentle, quiet, and loving soul you could ever meet. She greets every single person with pure affection and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Housetrained, crate-trained, and endlessly sweet, Cossette simply wants to be near you and share the devotion she held onto through her darkest days.

Meet Swansea, a gorgeous 31-pound Dalmatian mix with the heart of an angel and a bright, happy-go-lucky spirit that lights up every room she walks into. At just 1 to 2 years old, this beautiful girl has overcome a rough start; she was rescued from a local shelter while sick with Valley Fever, but thanks to wonderful vet care and her loving Carrie On Rescue foster home, she is thriving!

Swansea is sweet, gentle, extraordinarily loving, and very well-mannered. She rides along great in the car, is already house-trained in her foster home, and brings a playful, energetic joy to everything she does. You would never know she faced a health battle; she shows zero symptoms and is feeling fantastic!

Her full medical check includes comprehensive blood work and f***l tests, and she is current on all vaccines, microchipped, spayed, and licensed. Because she is still receiving treatment for Valley Fever, she will need a family willing to continue her daily medication at this time until she is fully cleared. Valley fever is not contagious, but it takes time and continuous medication to resolve.

BONNIE — FROM “BROKEN” TO BEAUTIFUL, AND STILL WAITING FOR HER HERO

There are some dogs who come into rescue and break your heart… and then there is Bonnie. She was named in honor of the late Bonnie Tyler, and somehow, the name couldn't be more perfect. Because this little girl has already shown the strength of a survivor—and now, just like the words from Bonnie Tyler’s Holding Out for a Hero…“I need a hero.”

At just 3 years old, this darling Shih Tzu mix arrived from the shelter in heartbreaking condition. She was a little mess—severely matted, suffering from an ear infection and parasites, with glazed-looking eyes and wobbly legs. But underneath all of that was the sweetest little soul.

Bonnie never stopped being loving. She never stopped trusting. She never stopped hoping.

Bonnie received the very best veterinary care, including a complete exam, bloodwork and f***l testing. She was diagnosed with KCS (chronic dry eye) and will need daily eye drops to keep her eyes comfortable and healthy. Her eye medication costs approximately $1 a day—a tiny investment in keeping those precious eyes bright and happy.

She is spayed, vaccinated, licensed and microchipped. She will need professional grooming every 8–10 weeks to keep her beautiful coat healthy and comfortable.

But Bonnie’s greatest transformation isn't what you can see on the outside. It’s the happy little dog she has revealed herself to be.
