I just received a notification that I've won "Best of Houzz" for the 10th time!

On this holiday weekend, we're reminded of the sacrifice our heroes have made for us. It's also a time to reflect on life itself. Our time on earth is limited. Surround yourself with loving people in an environment that reflects the beauty of who you are and give thanks to those who paid for our freedom with the ultimate sacrifice.

As we are all stuck at home, I'm hoping all my friends and clients are thinking of ways to update their spaces. I'll be here for you on the other side! Stay safe.

I've decided to share one of design tips for anyone considering buying an area rug. No matter what style, pattern, or size you choose, buy wool. I can spot a synthetic rug a mile away. Wool keeps it's beauty for a lifetime, while synthetics look old and tired in a matter of a few years. I know wool is more expensive, however, it lasts, doesn't stain (it has lanolin which repels stains) and always looks beautiful. For the best prices look on Overstock.com. You can find an area rug that retails for several thousand dollars for a fraction of the price.

Recently I was given a complimentary photo session from Houzz.com. I contacted one of my favorite clients, Jerry and Glenda Yerse, in Chandler, AZ.
